Features or Bugs
Hello all, I would like to say that I first found Code Spells among a flurry of hype related to innovative methods of teaching programming to youth. I looked at a couple of these and thought this CodeSpells was potentially very promising. My son and I tried it a few times and were pleased at first and excited to see how this would develop. Well, that was several years ago and I realize that CS and also the others are being developed about as fast as Symbian apps. So my question is CodeSpells officially dead or just in a glacial development pace?
It's pretty much dead last communication/update on anything was august 25 and it was some photos facebook. Kinda disspointing really wanted to see where this game would go.
Yeah, it's a pity. The more so because the current version on steam is very buggy and has limited features (unless I do something wrong), for example no more "mediations" that were a funny mini-game. So the current status is much less usable than it used to be a few year back... and it crashes frequently.
Perhaps the developers could release an old version again (as it was just before multi-player for instance) and leave both versions as alternatives...
Yes and no, The primary development on it has slowed dramatically, however it has led to the rise of a community driven next version in development with full support from the developers. Come join us on the Discord for more information! https://discord.gg/x8CnGx
@Woogachaka is right. The community has contacted the developers, and we started working on an Open Source, Community Edition, with full support of the original developers!
Here is a link to the Discord that will not expire in 24 hours ^^
So, come, everyone is welcome, any help is appreciated!
