Just wanted to let you know the project goals for the near and distant future, which is a reflection of the brainstorm Stephen, Jason, and I had.
Near (probably the next week or so, maybe more):
I'll be getting more familiarized with the CodeSpells, making small strides. This is a big project, and I don't have nearly as much expertise as Adrian, but I'll do my best. Development will still crank though, and I've already made a few tools with which Jason can make a more interesting world. More on that in a bit.
We will try to make the CodeSpells world more hostile, and thus more interesting even if playing single player. This means work on creating creatures, animations/ai tuning, and doodads. We are also going to make some kinds of objectives once we have core mechanics that are fun. As we give updates, your feedback to help guide these steps would be awesome!
Anyhow, I'll go ahead with a first update post next.
The most recent post from the thirtieth was pretty cool. Are we expecting any more updates?
You probably know about the request threads too right?
Anyhow, codespells is pretty cool but more features will turn it into a really exciting game. Keep up the good work!
