Hello, I am new to this game but not the concept. Meaning I have played an older version of this and just recently obtained the newer version. I would like to know from the team if this game is still going on strong in its development process. I will be very sad if this were to shut down before release. This is such a wonderful game that I would hate for it to waste away. So can anyone tell me what has been in the works recently!?
I have had it for about a day now and I have made some really cool spells (In my eyes because it may be average to you), just a quick example, orbs orbit around me and when I walk near water it repels it from my character allowing me to walk through the deepest lakes.
Anyway, loving it so far!
P.S. Is there by any chance lightning powers that may be coming up? I'm obsessed with it...
CodeSpells is definitely still under heavy development! Updates to the main line come rarely, but they tend to have big features. The most recent update in the beta line included a completely reworked AI system for creatures plus two new creatures, and a completely new system for multiplayer, plus the beginnings of a level editor system. The devs are primarily working on polishing multiplayer and the arena editor at the moment (last I heard), with creature AI as their second focus.
Lightning magic, if you don't mind getting your hands dirty with black magic, has already been done. I strongly doubt we'll ever see any kind of direct lightning magic, but it has been discussed before that through controlling the weather we might someday be able to cause a thunderstorm and potentially help that storm hit our targets with lightning.
Ok, with the the lightning magic saying that we could control the weather, I think that's a better idea. Second, a level editor will open up so much for the game, can't wait!
