I am really enjoying messing around, making cool looking spells like trying to create a sand bridge under me as i walk. My main questions are if you guys plan on any more elements, and if you are going to do anything with the physics engine such as with how the elements and entities in the world react with one another?
As far as I know, the 4 elements that are there, Earth, Fire, Water, and Air, are the total set of elements to be used. Life was supposed to be an element, but I think it evolved into a different, distinct element or dropped. Be sure that more orb powers will be available in the future, though. Right now the dev team is mainly working on the structure and behind the scenes portions of the games such as the interface, spell sharing, and multiplayer. Once the core is in place, more content will surely come.
As far as the physics go, the four main elements are supposed to interact with the environment already. I know the devs and other players have mentioned wanting the ability for fire to change the temperature of water in order to boil it off or freeze it to create ice. These are things slated for the future, however.
"Life" will come in the future, after Multiplayer was added. It's an ambitious idea, so it cannot be added yet ^^
The four basics elements are still being worked on, though.
I think the Kickstarter and @a_lomo may best answer you
Yes, we'll still be actively adding features to the existing 4 elements as we go, and we'll be adding Life as another element once we get multiplayer finished up!
