Is there some way to hide functions or something? I'd like to look at these advanced blocky spells to figure out how they work, but if all the fanciness/legwork of said spell is hidden in these mysterious functions somehow...
My first guess is that there some way to borrow functions present in other spells, so if the function "follow" is present in an Ancients spell, you could just use it whenever, but I'm probably wrong.
Thanks for any guidance!
I never heard of either hiding functions, nor using a function not present in the spell ^^
Did you try to duplicate the spell and move the other functions around? The function could be hiding beneath one. Did you try to zoom out and look everywhere?
Thanks for the swift reply!
If you're interested, an example of this is the Fairy Familiar spell by amulgagar (still can't post images :P).
There are functions like "falling" and "dead" that are set to true/false or whatever but those things themselves are never explained in the blockly that I can see.
Yeah I zoom zoomed all the way and looked all around, found nothing. I'm probably missing something obvious >_>
Again, ty for reading/assistance!
Edit: whoops I'm calling variables functions, it's the variables that aren't explained. In that spell, for instance, "initiate" is a function that is explained. Aha I can post images now! The red circle.
Ah, I'm not sure what happened, but I was recently in a game hosted by @Angoulor and (I assume due to some odd glitch) when I started opening spells for editing, it would randomly delete vast portions of the spell. I thought it was just on my system, but it seems that it was uploaded to the server. That spell is missing a dramatic part of the code due to the glitch, and I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet.
If you do want to get that spell working in the meantime, however, you can recreate it from this post: http://the-codespells-forum.herokuapp.com/t/pet-fairy-familiar/458?u=amulgagar Some blocks may no longer exist in the form that they existed at that time, but they all have current equivalents. If you need help finding blocks, let me know and I'll help you figure it out!
Oh okay so I'm not missing something massive then that's good, the spell is indeed missing the variables. Glad I'm not crazy!
That glitch might be more than just your one spell, I've seen this happen with a few different spells I got from the browser.
Sweet thanks man!
